Osservatrice aggravata: Il mio primo libro edizioni AttraVerso in preordine

È voler riposare da me stessa e trovarmi centuplicata, aggravata.

blu,

che ci libreremo volani-

immagina un sollievo grande miliardi-

liberi dal giogo della storia

dal circolo del tempo.

Thanks in advance to Carl Randall

I dreamed of this.

I stayed in an old house, with black mold on the walls, Tokyo still ramshackle at the windows with a thousand black threads, spaghetti from the sky, from home to home.

It was not my home and I hated the smell of it, unmade in every corner. Guest of a friend, her brother continued to complain to me about his work, he continued to look insistently and harassing my ankles, then from the wrists to the eyes: he was looking for a slender grip, a return of glances or a flood of empathy that could give him back a gram of life, parasitism that you can recognize only after having tolerated it a few times too much. I pretended not to see. Who knows why it is thought better not to provoke the human beast. – Play dead, I repeated to myself. –

One day of full clouds he leaves home: you see, he tells me, now I have made up the bed, because I am going away. I’m leaving too, leaving the unevenness of that hovel, the foggy windows, yellowed by toxic fumes. I sit uplifted and exhausted on an old, bold transport, across a dirt road, at the sides of this one I am accompanied by the clear mud, quicksand, a single endless swamp with a single large tree, green perhaps by the swallowed bodies. The transport overturns and I end up swimming in that quagmire, but I have no memory of this, because I transmute.

The sister of the shameless, my friend, arrives wrapped in a traditional dress – as light in the step as the September twilights – scarlet red silk with huge hand-painted white flowers. The mastery of care. The clear face as if sprinkled with stardust. Now I am her. And I look for myself. I see myself in the mud. My scarlet friend is my other half, I think. The brave, fearless one. The one with the dressmaker’s scissors in her hand, the imprudent look, in comparison without expertise. He fears no one. He is the advocate of the souls lost in the gluttonous swamp. What luck, what a great gift my soul. Despite the undeterred darkness returning to the face of the world, by dint of burying the fearful girl in the bitumen, we dressed in splendor, our eyes dropped in amazement, blossomed from nothing like in that Takahata film.

And yet my journey is apodictically plural and pluralistic, multicultural and suffocating. Tokyo is just the most recent pit stop among a thousand other dreamed or imagined dreams.

Perhaps they call them intrusive thoughts: my intruders breathe in irregular beats, if I suffocate them during the day – as a good student I try to control my mind – the pages of the manuals cause them to rise. The socialist legality with the anti-capitalist system makes me return to Russia, the system to be evaluated in its entirety with consequential devaluation of rigid, formalist theories, gives me back to the globe harsh and its evil peculiarities: earth and sky, suspended, miracle of miracles, yet we are unable to advance without cruelty or corruption in the soul, in the word to the suffering peoples.
Whenever, in the morning and bitter world, I hear earthly voices on the radio talking about weapons, I regret the dream. I prophesy the horseman of the apocalypse to descend. I witnessed a pandemic prone to mow from a Calabrian hill, like the drawing of the Smith. In the nights that seemed the same as the days I wrote and finished my first work, a testament for the days that would then return to breathing: I did not dream of restlessness in that period, it was clear to me that the enemy was other than us.

Now I observe and listen, angry and resigned, like a burning metal cooled in ice, the stupidity and greed: the past reverberating in the present really. The prophecies were reassuring in their absurdity: what if instead we were on the side of the absurd, and the transcendent was the only reason to listen?

The pavement is traced, between decisive steps and reversals, memories of a child, memories and traumas: the dream is my imaginative mixture, what remains of a child who invented fairy tales and transcribed them on the computer.

The fairy tale and the fantasy, the sweet and the bitter: everything that I dare not welcome with open arms during the disciplined methodology to be adopted, I transform into a dream.

It’s like leaving knowing that the unexpected will happen.

It is wanting to rest from myself and find myself a hundredfold, aggravated.

It is my paradigm.

The yardstick I use for kaleidoscopic realities: the digestive system of suffocated or mistreated thought.

Then I realize, on a morning when the deadly platoon of banality advances, that I dreamed of Tokyo as a reflection of the bombed cities and yet to be rebuilt, of the Roman suburbs of the sixties, of the dusty streets of Bangalore, as a mirror of Elena Ferrante’s neighborhood. that repels me and fascinates me. I wake up with my cheek on the pillow, my forehead furrowed and a headache: even in my sleep, brooding has not left me.

My friend dressed in red was nothing more than the salvation of the world, the ointment for the wounds of poverty, liberation from narrow-mindedness, a universal third eye taxable erga omnes. The possibility, found along the wind paths, of a dream come true.

That may be why it will remain a dream, the fixed appointment with an obsession.

It has already come or it will come

one day

unlike all those of creation

completed or under construction

that is crystal clear and mirrored

only die of old age

than a child or a verse

of beauty and purity so much

you light up this galaxy

that the motion changes,

so full of reflected love

in the thousand corners of the planet

blue,

that we will fly flying-

imagine a big billion relief-

free from the yoke of history

from the circle of time.
